Open House Information Session on Double-crested Cormorants
Join officials from the New York State Department of Environmental
Conservation and Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources for an Open House
Information Session on St. Lawrence River Cormorants. These sessions
will give local citizens an opportunity to discuss factual cormorant
information and local issues with the agency employees who are directly
involved with colonial waterbirds and fisheries in the St. Lawrence
River. Also available will be current information about ecology,
population status, impact, research and management of cormorants and
what are the rights of private landowners to protect their property in
New York and Ontario.

light and park in the main parking lot.

Thursday, August 17, 2006 - Ogdensburg High School Cafeteria, 1100
State Street, Ogdensburg. From State Route 37, exit at the Golden Dome
and park in the last school parking lot on the right.
All Open House Information Sessions run from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. No
formal presentations will be made, so come anytime to talk with staff.
